Blackjack
The objective of Blackjack is to get as close to 21 without going over. The player and the dealer are each dealt two cards. The playerʼs cards are dealt face up, and only one of the dealerʼs cards are shown.
Before any cards are dealt, the player makes a wager from their available bank balance.
On the deal, if the player has 21 showing, then the player scores a “Blackjack” and wins. In this game of Blackjack, numbered cards are the value on the card, “face” cards are worth 10, and Aces are worth 11.
If the player does not have 21 on the deal, then the player must “hit” (take an extra card) or “stay” (waits for the dealer to complete their hand). If the player goes over 21, then they lose and the dealer wins. If the player chooses to stay, then they must wait for the dealer to close out their hand (a dealer will automatically “hit” on a card if the dealerʼs hand is less than 17 (and they will keep hitting provided their hand remains less than 17); if the dealerʼs hand is 17 or greater, then they will stay). If the dealer ends up with more than 21, then the dealer busts and the player wins. If the player and dealer end up tying (including 21), then nobody wins and no money changes hands.
If a player wins, then their overall balance increases by the bet they placed. If a player loses, they lose the amount bet from their balance. Make sure that each time a player places a bet, they have sufficient funds to do so.
Implementation Details
You are to implement the game of blackjack using OOP.
Your program will begin by reading in the current balance from the balance.txt file. When your program ends, you should update the file with the new bank balance of the player.
Your deck of cards must have 52 cards in it and be represented as a vector of Card objects
At the beginning of each round, re-create the deck of cards.
After creating the cards, shuffle them! You are to implement your own shuffle() method for your Deck class. Note you may NOT use a method from the STL to do the shuffle for you. Hint: Think about using random swaps
All data members of classes must be declared private. Use getters / setters where appropriate
The interface files for this project have been provided for you with some functions / data to get you started. Make sure to implement all functions (even through you may not necessarily use them) and feel free to add any others that you see fit (i.e. maybe some print() functions for each class would be useful). The Card class has been provided for you to use!
Grading Rubric

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get my paper done?

It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.

Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.

We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?

Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!

Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?

We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?

Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.

I got my order information wrong, can I change that?

Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.

Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?

Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
