1.Yes I do agree with the vision of the profession because it talks about the importance of nursing to the society and the world at large and how we should handle health related issues, both individual and in society. It also talks about the role of nurses and the way they respond in emergency situations that Arises due to natural and man made disasters and the impact it has on one’s health. One of the reasons I strongly agree is that the committee used evident-based practices to address the issues of health to build their case within the years (2020-2030). Nurses will work to reduce health disparities and promote equality health which keeps the cost at rich and also using technology and maintain patients as their families focus on care in 2030.
I think and I believe that the goals are realistic if only we do what we are supposed to do in the society. To protect our health and the health of others, like wearing masks in large crowds to reduce or eliminating the spreading of Covid-19.
I see myself in this profession educating families and friends and encouraging them to do the right things at the right time, helping to stop the spreading of viruses and other diseases. I also would like to educate people the importance of good health. As a nurse, we are trained to save lives no matter the circumstances. Covid-19 was a test to our professions as nurses and I’m am proud to say the deeds and excellent jobs we have done during it.

2. I do agree with the vision of the profession. I believe health care should be more accessible and be more affordable. This way people do not have to decide whether they receive medical attention or not in regards to whether they can afford it. As stated “the United States has an opportunity to transform its health care system to provide higher-quality, safer, more affordable, and more accessible care.” (National academies press 2). People regardless of how much money they make should be able to receive medical attention if they need it. I would like to believe most people in the medical field will agree with this since the whole purpose of being in the medical field is to help others either emotionally or physically.
I think the goals are realistic. I think many people would love to further their education but a big part of that is money. Yet since they are presenting funds for it, money should not be as much of an issue. Yet, in order to achieve this they also need to hire more nurses and get more into the field as well as retain the amount already in the field. Many are burning out and I think with these good intentions with paying for nurses higher education, they will also improve nurses outcomes to stay.
I see myself in this profession as an ICU nurse with a bachelor’s degree and possible masters. I would love to be able to help as much patience as I can, especially if and when health care becomes more accessible and affordable.
