Couple or Family Genogram using Genopro- 60 points- Assignment #5
In order to complete this assignment, it was recommended that you have another mock session, with your couple or family, around week 7 of this course.
Go to the following website: https://www.genopro.com/genogram/. Review the pages detailing components of genograms, communication patterns, and clues that will help you understand relationship patterns. Click on each link underneath related pages to get an overview of this website and its offerings. Then click “Creating Your Genogram” to learn how to construct your selected family’s genogram and watch the YouTube video. You are not required to purchase this program, but certainly can if you’d like.
After completing your review of the website, take a brief time to write down what you learned about your family in relation to the clues described: 1) relevant dates; 2) gender beliefs and values; 3) family secrets; 4) losses; 5) themes regarding family core values and beliefs; 6) cultural heritage and multicultural considerations; and 7) family boundaries—external and internal.
Visual Depiction or Graphical Representation
Using the recommendations of the website, develop a graphical representation of your couple or family, three generations prior. Use the examples provided on the website, patterns, symbols, rules, or template to construct this portion of the assignment.
Assessing the Family
This is one assessment to include in the final clinical assessment report (CAR).
For a total of three generations, and in a separate paper, provide a brief description of significant relationships and patterns among family members noted on your Genogram. How have the clues above impacted your selected couple or family, as well as their relationships with others?
Juxataposing Your Own Family
Then describe some of the connections made in your patterns noted in your family of origin (as depicted on your Genogram) and your current significant relationships and behaviors with others? Given some of the relational patterns, events, stressors, and descriptors noted in your genogram, please describe any potential “blinders” or “blind spots” that may get in the way of your practice with clients. In other words, are there certain issues (e.g. healthy or unhealthy, resolved or unresolved, functional or dysfunctional) that would impact your work with clients in ways that you need to be aware of? No family is perfect or problem-free – all families struggle with issues, concerns and transitions through time.
Treatment Outcomes and Application
Given what you have presented in your genogram and how you have described your selected family, discuss one area of concern that could be (or could have been) addressed in therapy? Select a particular systemic approach (e.g. structural), and as a therapist, how would you go about addressing this issue in therapy? Make use of theoretical principles and interventions consistent with the thinking and practice of this framework.
Now that you have a broader understanding of your selected family by way of your genogram, do you see yourself doing anything differently in relation to any one or more members in your family? Would you like them to interact differently or change their behavior?
This is one assessment to include in the final clinical assessment report (car).

Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.
We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.
Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?
All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.
What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?
Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!
Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?
We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.
I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?
Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.
