Response 1:
I want to bring attention to the behavior of consuming caffeine in excess. I chose this subject since I personally struggle with this issue and wish to reduce the amount of daily caffeine use. Furthermore, I selected caffeine because people in society see it as essential to their lives and believe they cannot function without it. Society treats caffeine as a normal thing such as water. There are a lot of caffeine addicts since around 90% of adults worldwide drink caffeine every day. People who are having difficulty with this issue won’t perceive it as a problem. They only see the positive benefits, such as an elevated mood, therefore they will never notice the negative traits until they start to appear, such as palpitations.
Response 2:
Caffeine is a substance that, while beneficial for some, may be detrimental for others. Caffeine has various advantages, including greater physical performance, mood elevation, and accelerated metabolism. Additionally, it can worsen anemia, increase heart rate, and raise blood pressure. It also has the potential to cause overdose deaths. Over time, caffeine addicts will experience these adverse consequences as they first become aware of their high blood pressure and later learn that it is driven to an iron deficiency. Furthermore, it can have an impact on those who are close to caffeine addicts since they will always worry that something awful will happen, or even worse, they could lose an important person as a result of a caffeine overdose.

The goal is to reduce excessive caffeine use. I will thus use the behavioral method to achieve my objective. My daily goal is to either drink only one can of red bull or reduce the number of espresso shots in my coffee from 4 to 2. The second part of my weekly goal is to avoid drinking caffeine on the weekends. Thirdly, I want to spend less time at cafés by going only once a month. To encourage my behavioral change, I will attempt to spend more time with my family each month.

There are many barriers that I can have toward my goal of reducing excessive caffeine drink such as university stress, my work and my friends. I increase my coffee intake whenever I have a lot of work to complete in order to stay focused better. Working and studying at the same time is quite challenging, but it is also a learning experience for shifting to the workplace. Since I don’t have time, I often take caffeine. Finally, all of my friends adore coffee, and we meet on a daily basis. If I went with them, it would be strange that I am not drinking coffee. My friend should be aware of my plan and assist and encourage me in overcoming these challenges. I should also schedule my time wisely, and if I ran out of time for any of my assignments, I should merely ask my professor for an extension if it’s possible. In order to make it healthy, I should substitute water or a smoothie for caffeinated drinks.

I, my family and my friends will benefit if I can complete this plan. It is quite difficult for me to drink large amounts of caffeine because I have an iron deficiency (anemia). My iron level will decrease if I break this plan, because low iron levels lead to high blood pressure and fatigued heart muscles. The primary supporter for this plan is my family, who don’t want to watch me suffering as a result of caffeine’s drawbacks. This strategy will protect both my life and the bucks I currently spend on daily caffeinated beverages like coffee and red bull. Also, my friends will try their best to support me and that is what will keep our relationship stronger. Supporting someone in society to stop doing something harmful to them is crucial, especially if you want your connections to get stronger and continue.
